As drug abuse has become more of an issue in the last couple decades, our class, the 6a, has discussed this topic and how to solve associated problems in our English class. We have particularly discussed three different approaches to a solution: the zero-tolerance policy, the decriminalization of users, not dealers and the full legalization of drugs. These approaches have shown us that there are several ways to overcome the global problem: the zero-tolerance policy prohibiting every usage of drugs, no matter by whom, the decriminalization of users and not dealers preventing people from buying drugs and the full legalization reducing the thrill of breaking the law.
In relation to these, we designed posters stating the arguments that convinced us the most and are now aware of how terribly drug addiction can affect one’s life.
